In addition, the documentary offers a rare glimpse into the process John goes through to create and compose his music. Featured in the film are musicians Neil Young, Brian Wilson, Booker T. Jones, steel guitarist Robert Randolph, Don Was and a 10-piece gospel choir who all contribute to the album, which is produced by award-winning producer T-Bone Burnett. Musician Stevie Nicks and John's long-time lyricist Bernie Taupin also appear.

  The Peruvian Galapagos Islands feature in Hammer’s film Endangered, where Blue-footed Boobies, seals and iguanas are equated with the filmmaker herself who identifies light, life and the genre of experimental film to be threatened with extinction in this late twentieth century. Every image is marked and cancelled before it disappears. Even the emulsion of the film is treated with acid showing its fragility. The film is a highly effective compilation of image, colour and sound building upon each other, slowly heightening the sense of urgency. Against this mood there is a reassuring image of a silhouetted woman working at the film projector. A strong, competent, fearless woman. Woman documenting, warning, saving.

Everything is given: enthusiastic audience, light and sound equipment, stage, kitchen and beer masterpieces, guitar, guest speakers. "I've picked up some local stories. Stories that are truly Hungarian, in the best and funniest sense of the word. There are many things in our mentality that a foreigner doesn't understand even if he has lived here for years. It's natural for us, but we end up laughing at it ourselves. That's what the title refers to: 'Méd in Hungeráj', says Laci, who is always in his element. He introduces the stage, talks about the family, takes me on trips abroad, inland, to Debrecen, even behind the soundproofed door of the oral surgery, sings with Bruti and Tibor Aradi, while all the stories are Hungarian. Very Hungarian.
