Forty-year-old Andreas arrives in a strange city with no memory of how he got there. He is presented with a job, an apartment - even a wife. But before long, Andreas notices that something is wrong. Andreas makes an attempt to escape the city, but he discovers there's no way out. Andreas meets Hugo, who has found a crack in a wall in his cellar. Beautiful music streams out from the crack. Maybe it leads to "the other side"? A new plan for escape is hatched.

This exceptional dystopian production is a masterclass in symbolic storytelling. Its target is the modern archetype: the nine-to-five employee whose company HR mandates camaraderie, whose home is a catalog of IKEA furniture, and whose leisure is systematically scheduled. The film presents a world utterly sanitized of all profound emotion and flavor, a reality so sterile that the main character doesn't even engage with the audience's inherent questions of origin and purpose. It is an essential viewing experience and a brilliantly executed dystopia.

On November 26, 1942, hundreds of Jews are picked up by the police in the middle of the night and are transported to the dock in Oslo. Unknowing and frightened men, women, children, sick and old are forced on board the awaiting German cargo ship "SS DONAU".
